UK Rock Group That Did Well On The Charts
The Bee Gees top 20 songs of all-time should bring back many memories. The group was Barry Gibb and twin brothers Maurice and Robin Gibb. If you are a fan of the Bee Gees, this will be of interest to you.
This group started out as the Gibbs and later changed their name to the Bee Gees. The Bee Gees had a total of 48 singles to make the Hot 100 Chart in their career. Their first single was released in May, 1967 with “The New York Mining Disaster 1941” at #11, and their last single was “Still Waters (Run Deep)” in 1997 at #57. The groups last top 10 and top 40 hit was “One” at #7 in 1989.

Ranking The Bee Gees Top 20 Hits All-Time
Ranking of songs could take on a bias by the reviewer. However, this will not be the case. We will use the popularity of the songs to rank them for us. We will use a system which I will share.
First, each song received a point total based on its total number of weeks it appeared on the Hot 100 Chart. 1 point for #100, so on down to 100 points at #1. The point totals are set aside for now.
Second, we had to rank the songs by their highest peak position reached on the Hot 100 Chart. #1 songs will always rank higher than a #2 song etc.
Third, we used the total number of weeks the song stayed at the peak position to break any ties if multiple songs reached the same peak position. In our case some did.
Fourth, if there were still ties, we used the total number of weeks the song stayed in the top 10.
Fifth, if there were still ties, we used the total number of weeks the song stayed in the top 40.
Sixth, if any ties remained, we used the total number of weeks the song charted on the Hot 100 Chart.
Seventh, if any ties still remained, we used the point system each song achieved on the Hot 100 Chart.
For the Bee Gees top 20 songs of all-time we had to go down to number 5 to break all ties.
The ranking of these songs is fair as each song was charted on the Hot 100 and achieved its highest position based upon airplay and record sales at the time of its release.
